About Me. Kalpna and small BACP logo
My training and qualifications include:
  • Working creatively

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy

  • Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling

  • Primary research to investigate employees experience of emotional wellbeing in the workplace.

  • Counselling Children and Young People

In addition to my private practice, I also work at a young people’s counselling service in West London.

Student life can be challenging and I am experienced in supporting young people with the stress and anxiety of exams and education, relationships, and social media.

I’m a qualified therapeutic counsellor, a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP*), with years of experience working with adults and teenagers (17 years and over).

Thanks to my own experience of counselling, which was life changing, I became passionate about helping people. I began the transition from client to counsellor and trained as a therapeutic counsellor in order to devote my professional life to supporting other people with their challenges.

I consider it a special privilege to walk alongside my counselling clients as they are working through difficult situations, changes, and personal challenges.

Prior to embarking on my counselling training, I worked for many years in the corporate world as an accountant and a management consultant, dealing with change. During this time, I also worked abroad as an expat, experiencing different cultures.

Having seen and had experience of how people struggle with changes in their circumstances, or their environment, I am acutely aware of the pressures, stresses and strains that come with these issues and the impact on work and personal life.

I have Enhanced DBS Certificates for working with young people and adults.
